School of Law achievement (Issue 8, 2011)
The La Trobe mooting team and their coach
This moot is a simulated legal proceeding requiring both written and oral advocacy on the topic of international investment law.
It is the third year in a row that students from La Trobe have made the finals of this competition. La Trobe Law won this competition in 2009 and reached the quarter finals in 2010.
These results consolidate La Trobe's international reputation as a law school which moots at the highest levels. Our international mooters have developed their written and oral advocacy skills, they have learnt the value of team work and they have networked with lawyers, judges and academics from all around the world.
Congratulations to Isobelle Jones, Myles Farely and Joseph Romeo and the coach, Mr Richard Lightfoot.
