There has been a significant increase in the number of travel warnings issued in recent years. It is the University's philosophy that staff or students would not normally be given permission to travel to any area where the

• Department of Foreign Affairs & Trade (DFAT) recommends you "reconsider your need to travel" or "do not travel " or
• where "Citybrief" rate a city as High or Extreme.

Register online with DFAT before travel

All Australians travelling overseas, whether for tourism or business or for short or long stays, are encouraged to register with the Department of Foreign Affairs & Trade before travel. Registration information provided will help to find you in an emergency - whether it is a natural disaster, civil disturbance or family emergency.
