- Creatively plans and develops the University’s estate
- Provides quality advice concerning the management, acquisition, divestment and development of the University’s property and infrastructure needs and assets.
- Designated point of authority for all major capital and infrastructure project matters.
- Assists the University in taking a proactive approach to secure government grants for capital and infrastructure purposes.

Biography
Stephen is a ‘hands on’ Project Director amd General Manager, specialising in the management and delivery of major projects throughout Australia and South East Asia. Stephen started his career as a hospital architect in Australia and South East Asia and after 10 years or practice completed a Masters of Engineering (Project Management).
In early 1994, he moved to Kuala Lumpur to take up the position of Project Director for the $160 million Gleneagles Intan Medical Centre development. He was also the General Manager for Project & Development Division for Tan & Tan Developments Berhad, with an annual development turnover of $700 million.
On Stephen’s return to Melbourne in 1998, he joined Lend Lease Health to assist clients such as, St. Vincent’s Private Hospital, Freemasons Hospital, Sisters of Charity Health Services. After Lend Lease Stephen was General Manager - Interiors for the national retail design and construct firm of Trollope Silverwood & Beck (TS&B).
Following TS&B Stephen spent six years with Pacific Shopping Centres as General Manager of Development, Stephen then joined Root Projects Australia Pty Ltd in January 2008 as Project Director for the $330 million expansion of Melbourne Airport’s International Terminal and managed the RPA Melbourne Airport Office as Group Manager-Aviation before joining La Trobe University in February 2010.
