Damien Bonnice

Responsibilities

  • The designated point of authority for all project matters relating to the La Trobe Institute of Molecular Science (LIMS), the upgrade of the Eastern Lecture Theatre and the proposed Collaborative Learning Centre
  • Prepares progress reports for the LIMS Federal funding agencies
  • Assists the University in taking a proactive approach to secure government grants for capital and infrastructure purposes
  • Leads the project design teams for LIMS and other allocated projects
  • Assessing and approving invoices for all consultants and contractors involved with allocated projects

Biography

After graduating from Melbourne University, Damien worked as an architect and planner with the Ministry of Housing in Victoria. He subsequently undertook post graduate studies in town & country planning at Sydney University, and after which he was appointed to various roles in development planning and policy formulation including, senior policy advisor to the then Premier, the Hon John Cain, and Project Director with Major Projects Victoria.

Past project responsibilities have included Federation Square and the redevelopment of the Jolimont Railyards. More recently Damien has held project management positions with the CSIRO and RMIT University.
