The Health Sciences Building

Parent project: La Trobe Rural Health School

Project Director, Danielle Parr

The Health Sciences Building is to be located on the La Trobe University’s Bendigo Flora Hill campus, with a frontage to Sharon Street. The new building will be physically linked to the existing Health Sciences building on the Flora Hill campus.

The new building will be used by a number of Health Sciences related disciplines including the following: nursing and midwifery, dentistry, oral health, human biosciences, physiotherapy, occupational therapy, podiatry, speech pathology, paramedic practice, health sciences and social work. It will be the focus for the foundation year, inter-professional practice and broader public health offerings. The building will meet the preclinical requirements of students. It will contain academic and administrative staff offices and expanded space for teaching and research. The building will achieve a 5 star Green Star design rating in keeping with La Trobe University's commitment to sustainability.

The building will be flexible to accommodate the different disciplines. Space will include rooms for learning, teaching and research.
