Indigenous Employment

Indigenous Employment seeks to establish the university as an Employer of Choice for Indigenous Australian people.  Securing a STEP Contract from the Department of Employment Workplace Relations has assisted to increase opportunities.  The primary aim of Indigenous Employment is to establish and maintain an environment that is respectful and appreciative of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people as prospective, current and previous employees.

Previous Events:

• La Trobe University Indigenous Employment Strategy Launch was held on Wednesday 5 September 2007.
• Equal Opportunity Practitioners in Higher Education Australasia (EOPHE) conference: 19-22 November 2007 was held at University of Melbourne
