The aim of the ICT group is to provide cost effective delivery of ICT services to support the University's mission and the learning, teaching and research activities of the University.

Planning and Administration
The Planning, Projects and Administration office comprises the following activities:
- Project Management Office (supporting, monitoring, tracking and reporting on University project activity)
- Budgets and Recoveries
- Performance Management and reporting
- Internet Charging
- Software licensing and direction for all IT requirements in the University
Business Systems Unit (BSU)
The BSU is responsible for the development, integration, configuration and harmonisation of the University business systems. It also provides administrative management of Privacy, FOI and Copyright processes for the University. The BSU group comprises the following teams:
- Records Services
- SAP

- Development, Test & Quality Assurance
- Online Services
- Application Support

Networks Group
The Networks Group main responsibilities are:
- design, configure and install network equipment on all campuses and remote sites
- maintain, support and optimise the University network which comprises of data, voice and real-time deliveries.
System Group
- Delivery of key enterprise applications and services
- Central storage of the Universities critical data
- Provision of underlying supporting technologies such as databases and middleware.
- Enterprise email solutions including virus and spam filtering
Governance and Architecture Group
The Governance and Architecture Group ensures that the University's ICT infrastructure and applications are implemented in a way that:
- reduces security and risk exposure
- ensures technologies are supportable, integrated, and align with University strategic objectives.
Client Support
Client support provides the following functions:
- ICT Service Desks for all staff and students
- ICT Service management, agreements and client relationships
- High level ICT support processes
- Second level client systems support
