Pre-departure check list
Please note: ELICOS students travelling on a tourist visa, please ensure that you have travel insurance.
What to bring with you
- Official identification e.g. driver licence, national ID card, etc
- Any medical records (particularly of immunisations), necessary medication/prescriptions, and any optical prescriptions
- Australian currency (AUD$) for when you first arrive. (Foundation Studies & Diploma students will have the opportunity of buying second hand books during Orientation. You will need about $300. Otherwise, a booklist with prices for new books will be given on that day).
- A jacket or jumper (sweater) packed in your hand luggage in case it is cold when you arrive in Melbourne.
On the day of registration
- Register your arrival at the International College Reception on Registration day (the start date mentioned on your letter of offer)
- Bring your passport
- Your contact details in your home country
- Bring your IELTS or TOEFL Certificate (if you have been tested in the last two years)
- Letter of offer for principal course
- Provide your address and contact details of accommodation in Melbourne
- Ask questions from our friendly teachers and staff if you are unsure about anything!
