CALL FOR NOMINATIONS

Closing date for nominations TO BE ADVISED

Nominations are invited for IAS Fellowships and IAS Distinguished Fellowships. Eligibility for a Fellowship is limited to the disciplines represented at La Trobe University.

Nominations must be submitted and supported by an LTU academic unit and persons wishing to be nominated must first consult with professors of their relevant disciplines to obtain support for their projects.

Nominations should include the following

• A full Curriculum Vitae for the proposed Fellow.
• 2 referees’ reports, which should be sent directly to the IAS.
• The preferred length and timing of the visit (determined after informal consultations with the proposed Fellow). Except in particular circumstances, the minimum length of time for a Fellowship is two months.

(1) A brief outline of the project(s) to be undertaken by the Fellow,
(2) whether this work falls within one of the university's research strengths,
(3) an indication of the consultative/collaborative work to be undertaken,
(4) an indication that the nominator(s) will be present/available at the University for the duration of the visit,
(5) a short description of the research project in language accessible to an informed lay reader, and
(6) a concise statement of the expected outcomes of the visit.

IAS Distinguished Fellows and IAS Fellows will receive reimbursement of travel costs (economy return airfare) and will be provided with an office in the Institute for Advanced Study administration building and health insurance if required. IAS Distinguished Fellows are eligible for accommodation at La Trobe House, subject to availability.
