Senior Lecturer in the Department of Politics at the University of Johannesburg.

Research interests include public policy-making on HIV and AIDS in South Africa, and the security and gender aspects of the pandemic in the developing world. His book entitled ‘The Political Management of HIV and AIDS in South Africa: One burden too many?’ was published by Palgrave Macmillan in 2006.
