Professor Colin Drury

IAS Distinguished Fellow - 2006

Distinguished Professor and Director of the University’s Research Institute for Safety and Security in Transportation (RISST), University of New York at Buffalo (UB)

Professor Drury's work is concentrated on the application of human factors techniques to enhance the effectiveness of inspection and maintenance processes.  He is a Fellow of several professional societies, and has received the Bartlett medal of the Ergonomics Society and both the Fitts and Lauer Awards of the Human Factors and Ergonomics Society.  In 2005 he received the US Federal Aviation Authority’s Excellence in Aviation Research award.
