Professor Elizabeth Schafer

Professor of Drama and Theatre Studies at Royal Holloway, University of London.

Professor Schafer's research interests include theatre history, particularly the production history of Shakespeare’s comedies, the plays of Richard Brome, Australian drama and theatre, especially expatriate Australian theatre work, women theatre directors, and the life of Lilian Baylis, manager of the Old Vic and the Sadler’s Wells theatres in London.
