Fraud and Corruption

Fraud and Corruption represents a risk to the University as it can have a negative impact in terms of:

  • finances
  • reputation
  • management effectiveness and
  • organisation morale.

La Trobe University is committed to ensuring it operates within a sound ethical culture and seeks to proactively manage fraud and corruption risks.

The University has implemented a fraud and corruption strategy to minimise the incidence and impact of fraud and corruption following the principals of the Australian Standard AS8001-2003 Fraud and Corruption Control.  The key elements of the strategy are:
