Ana Maria is a fluent speaker of English, Spanish, French and Italian whose research interests lie within the broad applied linguistics fields of language, culture and identity and L2 teaching and testing.

Isabel’s academic interests include contemporary Portuguese fiction, cultural memory and identity, postcolonial literatures, African fiction from the Portuguese-speaking countries and Latin American (especially Colombian) literature.
