Bulletin of the History of Archaeology
About us
The Bulletin of the History of Archaeology (BHA) was founded nearly 19 years ago as a forum to exchange research, information on on-going projects and resources devoted to the history of archaeology.
The BHA grew out of an interest in the history of archaeology by many archaeological practitioners. The plan for the BHA was hatched after a meeting between Douglas Givens, Alice B. Kehoe, and Donald McVicker in Chicago in 1990. Since that time, the BHA has enjoyed a growing following and scholars and researchers from many disciplines have sought out the journal as the best source on the history of archaeology.
Contributions
Longer contributions to the BHA are refereed but the rest of the journal remains a forum for the exchange of ideas and information on work in the history of archaeology. Our readers are the primary source of information on the state of writing the history of archaeology and contributions are always encouraged.
Contributions may be text or pictures in an electronic format. Please send text as a PDF file and pictures as jpeg to T.Murray@latrobe.edu.au.
Please note that it may not always be possible to acknowledge contributions or to describe the circumstances why contributions are not included in a published issue.
