Australasian Drama Studies
Australasia's Premier Academic Journal for Research in Drama, Theatre and Performance
Established in 1982, Australasian Drama Studies (ADS) is a fully peer-reviewed journal which publishes articles, interviews, and production casebooks on world theatre by Australasian and international scholars. The journal also publishes reviews of scholarly books and published playtexts, and the transcript of the annual Rex Cramphorn memorial lecture delivered at Belvoir St Theatre or the Malthouse.
Current Issue: 61 - October 2012
This focus issue of Australasian Drama Studies (ADS) uses the related concepts of design, space and performance to explore contemporary design practice in Australia and New Zealand. This issue responds to what we perceive as a lack of sustained critical and academic discourse about this fundamental aspect of performance in Australia and New Zealand, despite a number of important but sporadic publications.
