Planning your pathways

Planning a pathway is smart.

It’s a way of getting into your preferred course, EVEN if you DON’T get the ENTER!

The Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences has many different pathways available to help you get into your chosen degree.

Advice is always available to help you make the right decision.
You can speak to a Selections Officer during business hours, or you can email your question to: LHSS_Selection@latrobe.edu.au

A number of pathways for you to consider are:

 

Transfer within the Faculty

Depending on whether you meet the criteria you are able to transfer from one Humanities and Social Sciences course to another.

The Bachelor of Arts can act as a pathway to many of our specialised courses, provided you meet the requirements as noted below:

Requires a pass in all subjects to transfer into:

Bachelor of Archaeology

Bachelor of Arts in Contemporary European Studies

Bachelor of Asian Studies

Bachelor of International Development

Transfer into

 

Bachelor of Arts

 

Transfer with a 70% avarage into:

Bachelor of Creative Arts

Bachelor of Legal Studies

Bachelor of Media Studies

Transfer with a 75% average into:

Bachelor of Arts/Arts Education

Bachelor of International Relations

Transfer from a LTU regional campus to the Melbourne (Bundoora) campus

Transferring from an Arts Degree at one of our regional campuses to the Melbourne (Bundoora) Campus is possible providing you pass ALL subjects.

Bachelor of Arts (regional campus)

Requires a pass in all subjects to transfer

Bachelor of Arts Melbourne (Bundoora) campus

 

 

Transfer from another university or from another faculty

A transfer from another university or from another Faculty is possible. Speak to a Course advisor or a Selections Officer on how you can do this.

 

 

 

Single unit enrolment

Students can enrol in two single units from the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences.

Single units can be studied at either first or second semester.

You will be admitted to the Bachelor of Arts upon successful completion of both these units (a pass) and upon application.

Both units of study can be credited to your degree.

These units are paid for up-front (approx. $650).

You DO NOT apply through VTAC.

Requires a pass in both subjects to be admitted to the Bachelor of Arts
