Brief profile

Rachel’s main research interests are the politics of recognition and reconciliation, postcolonialism and colonial legacies, nation, identity and culture, which she has explored in the contexts of Australian multiculturalism and Israel-Palestine. Prior to joining the Centre for Dialogue, Rachel was a Visiting Postdoctoral Fellow in the Faculty of Law at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem, and taught Political Science at Al-Quds University and the Al-Quds Bard College for Liberal Arts and Sciences at Abu Dis in the West Bank. She is currently working on two book projects: one exploring the politics of recognition and postcolonial citizenship, and a co-authored book called ‘Shifting the Holy Land: Comparing Israel-Palestine’.
