Brief Profile

Helen Forbes-Mewett graduated with a PhD on international student security at Monash University in Melbourne, Australia in 2009. She is the recipient of an Australian Research Council Post Doctoral Fellowship to undertake a four-year study concerning international students and crime. Her scholarly contributions include articles in Higher Education Research and Development, Journal of Education and Work, Labour and Industry, Journal of Studies in International Education and Higher Education Policy with work in the sociology of organisations, education, social inclusion and human security. She is co-author of International Student Security published by Cambridge University Press in 2010.
