of polysulfonated polysaccharides on aggrecan catabolism. Aggrecan is a
major structural molecule in articular cartilage that undergoes loss in joint
diseases such as osteoarthritis. At present, there are no drugs that can be pharmacologically
employed to alter the disease progression of osteoarthritis. This research investigates
the effects of polysulfated molecules on aggrecan degration in vitro. The results
of this research may have clinical implications in the pharmacologic management
