The School of Human Biosciences encourages critical appraisal of
all aspects of its teaching. Quality Assurance is one of the methods
used to improve the standards of the units undertaken by the School.
Students assess aspects of each subject on a biannual basis in the
form of an anonymous questionnaire, which is then processed by an
external organisation for evaluation. The results of each unit are
appraised by the unit coordinator, the Head of School and the Dean
of the Faculty of Health Sciences and remedial action is taken if
necessary.
Head of School Summary of 2007 Report:
The overall teaching performance of Units within the School of
Human Biosciences during 2007 based on student evaluation is more
than satisfactory. There appears to be a disparity between assessments
made on the same Units that are taught at different campuses and
these will continue to be addressed in 2008.
