Ms Jennifer Hamilton-McKenzie
Jennifer is currently completing her PhD and her thesis examines the development of an irrigationist philosophy in north-western Victoria, using the settlement of Mildura as a case-study. As Mildura was established using the irrigation colonies of California as a blueprint due to the enthusiasm of Alfred Deakin, Jennifer has developed a research interest in Deakin, and aspects of environmental history germane to rivers in semi-arid locations. She also has interest in rural Australian history generally.
