Anne Gardner took up a lectureship at La Trobe University in 1986. She was in the Religious Studies Program prior to joining the History Program in 1995. In 1996 she was an honorary fellow at the Oxford Centre for Hebrew and Jewish Studies and Advisor to the National Gallery of Victoria for the Dead Sea Scroll Exhibition in 2001.Research interests include: Ancient Near Eastern History, Hebrew Bible, Inter-Testamental Literature including the Dead Sea Scrolls, New Testament, Gender in the Ancient World, Ecology and the Ancient World. Anne is the Old Testament Editor of the Australian Biblical Review.
