With respect to undergraduate professional education, the aim of La Trobe Health Sciences is to provide high quality educational programs which graduate competent beginning practitioners who will continue to learn and evaluate new skills and knowledge in the context of the changing needs of the population and evolving professional roles.

Carrick Institute Success
Congratulations to Eileen Clark, Division of Nursing and Midwifery, Albury-Wodonga Campus. Eileen and co-researchers, Dr Helen Marshall, RMIT University and Dr John Germov, University of Newcastle, have been awarded $100,020 under the Carrick Institute's Discipline-Based Initiatives Scheme for a study entitled 'Sociology in Australia: a scoping study'. An emphasis of the study will be on the teaching of sociology as a service unit in courses such as health sciences.
