Stuttering: The Assessment Resource
“Stuttering: The Assessment Resource” is a resource developed to collate known assessment tools in evaluating stuttering and its impact on clients. This resource can be used by Speech Pathologists and Speech Pathology students to make informed decisions about choosing appropriate assessments when working with a fluency client.
In order to aide accessibility of assessments, the resource is divided into the following categories; Measures of Stuttering: Quantitative and Qualitative, Communicative Attitudes, Behaviours, Anxiety, Quality of Life and Further Development. Information on each assessment such as time for administration, cost and availability is also cited to assist clinicians make informed decisions based on the aspects mentioned above.
A “table of assessment” page is included at the beginning of this resource to enable the easy locatability. Stuttering: The Assessment Resource can be freely downloaded.
