Meet our student

Claire Robinson

Course of study:
Bachelor of Nursing/Bachelor of Midwifery

I’m Clare Robinson – I’m a student ambassador at La Trobe University and my career goal is to be a midwife.
I’m studying a double degree in Nursing and Midwifery and absolutely love it. The great thing about being an ambassador is that I get to show prospective students why I love La Trobe so much and why it’s such a great place to study.
As an ambassador, I help and guide future La Trobe students around campus, impart knowledge about my experiences and hopefully make the transition to university life a little easier and a lot more fun!

I would advise future students of any university to talk to someone studying in your area of interest to gauge whether you will like it or not. Also try to attend events the universities offer. But remember it’s so easy to do something else if you change your mind.

What I love most about La Trobe’s Melbourne campus is the fact that you can study as you want, whether this is on the grass in the sunshine with friends or a quiet area in the library. The social aspect is best highlighted in the Agora, the centre of the Melbourne campus, which is a great place to catch up. La Trobe also offers fantastic facilities – hospital wards to practise skills in, comfortable lecture theatres and small classes to enable you to learn well and enjoy every moment!
