Welcome to the 2013 Postgraduate Applications information page. From this page, you may launch directly to course information and application forms.
Before launching to further course information, please ensure that you take note of:
- The Application Method for the course (Direct or via VTAC)
- The Closing Date for the course
- Whether Late Applications will be accepted beyond the closing date

Methods of application
In order to be considered for entry, it is important that you use the correct application method. Please ensure that you review the below table to ensure that you know what method of application is used for the course you wish to apply for.
Direct Applications and Supplementary Application Forms
For the majority of the postgraduate programs offered by the Faculty of Health Sciences, a Direct Application form needs to be submitted. Some programs also require you to complete a Supplementary application form. You can access the Direct Application form and any relevant Supplementary Application forms require by navigating from this page, through to further course information. Courses that require a supplementary forms to be submitted are identified below with a double asterisks ‘**’.
Applications through VTAC
For a small number of programs, applicants must apply directly through VTAC in order to be considered for entry. Please review the below table to determine whether you must apply through VTAC. Applicants that are required to apply through VTAC should also review the La Trobe Website: Additional Information for VTAC and UAC applicants
Courses that must apply through VTAC are:
- Master of Clinical Prosthetics and Orthotics
- Master of Dietetic Practice
- Master of Health Information Management
- Master of Occupational Therapy Practice
- Master of Orthoptics
- Master of Podiatric Practice
- Master of Social Work
International Applicants
International applicants are required to apply through La Trobe International. If you are an international applicant, please navigate directly to the course and then review the International Students tab for further information about how to apply.

Some certificate and diploma level awards are embedded within Master level programs. Students must apply for the masters but may exit at a certificate or diploma level. Courses with alternative exit points are identified below.
