School of Dentistry and Oral Health
The School of Dentistry and Oral Health was established at the Bendigo campus in response to dentistry and oral health needs especially in rural and regional areas of Victoria.
School of Human Biosciences
The School of Human Biosciences is made up of a number of disciplines: Anatomy, Physiology, Pharmacology, Pathology, Biophysical Sciences and Biosciences (Bendigo). It also incorporates the Centre for Ergonomics and Human Factors and the Forensic Expertise Profiling Laboratory.

Occupational Therapy has grown out of the need to understand the relationship between what a person does, that is their occupations, and their health and well-being. The School offers quality undergraduate and postgraduate courses and undertake research and consultancies, and community service activities in related fields.

Centre for Ergonomics and Human Factors (C.E.H.F)
Welcome to the web site of La Trobe University's Centre for Ergonomics and Human Factors, located in the School of Human Biosciences, Faculty of Health Sciences, La Trobe University. The Centre was established in 1987 at the Lincoln Institute of Health Sciences. The Institute later became the Faculty of Health Sciences at La Trobe University. Since 2006 CEHF has been a member (under designation) of the World Health Organisation network of Collaborating Centres in Occupational Health, under the expanded title: Centre for Research and Teaching in Occupational Ergonomics, Health & Safety.

National Institute of Deaf Studies and Sign Language
The National Institute of Deaf Studies and Sign Language (NIDS) was established in 1993 to provide a national focus for research into the Australian Deaf community, its language Auslan (Australian Sign language), its culture and the education of deaf students. It houses the Australian Sign Language Research Facility, funded by the federal government, which includes a professional production unit for making videos and a unique specialist library.
John Richards Initiative - Research into aged care in rural communities
The John Richards Initiative has been established to lead research and innovation in rural aged care. In consultation with older people in rural communities and other stakeholders, the Initiative will undertake a program of research into rural aged care that improves well-being through:
- Informing innovative rural ageing policy;
- Exploring models of service provision for older people in rural communities that enhance their capacity to be resilient and self-determining;
- Developing and testing effective rural workforce planning strategies; and informing education.
Division of Nursing and Midwifery
