Our research analyses social support and rehabilitation following workplace injury

Within the School of Public Health, the Rehabilitation research program is led by Professor Gregory Murphy, who has an interest in the nature and extent of social participation following serious injury, and the role of effective social support in facilitating such participation. Current research projects include “The nature and measurement of social support,” “The development and evaluation of a social support program for those living following traumatic spinal cord injury”  and “The prevention of job loss following return to work post traumatic spinal cord injury

Potential PhD topics

The Department will consider any research topic that interests potential PhD students; however, students will benefit from researching in areas that align with the Faculty’s research strengths.  Please find a relevant supervisor to discuss your PhD topic.
