1.2 Structure
The Faculty of Health Sciences is part of La Trobe University, a multicampus institution with metropolitan and country campuses. The Faculty offers courses at the Bundoora, City, Albury/Wodonga, and Shepparton campuses.
A leader in health sciences education and research, the Faculty offers a comprehensive range of undergraduate, postgraduate and continuing education courses. Single subjects are also offered by the Faculty. These courses provide the opportunity for a life long education in health sciences.
The Faculty Office supports the Dean, Schools and Centres of the Faculty in the following areas:
- Academic Services Unit
- Resources Unit
- Information Services Uni
- Technical Services Unit
The Faculty consists of eight Schools and four major Centres:
- School of Human Biosciences
- School of Human Communication Sciences
- School of Nursing and Midwifery
- School of Occupational Therapy
- School of Orthoptics
- School of Physiotherapy
- School of Public Health
- School of Social Work and Social Policy
- Australian Institute for Primary Care
- Australian Research Centre in Sex, Health and Society
- Centre for the Study of Mother's and Children's Health
- The Bouverie Centre
