Introduction
This course combines studies in both psychology and occupational therapy enhancing the career path of students and providing an accelerated pathway
for students who would otherwise enrol in degrees in both disciplines. The two degrees are taken sequentially with students undertaking the psychology
component for the first three years and the occupational therapy component in the final two years. Each degree will provide students with comprehensive and accredited professional education in both psychology and occupational therapy. The majority of units in these courses are core
across all five years due to professional accreditation requirements with some elective units available. Graduates will be eligible to enter accredited Australian Psychological Society (APS) specialised courses. Graduates will also be eligible for professional membership of OT AUSTRALIA and registration to practice as an occupational therapist.
Prerequisites
Applicants should ensure they check the 2009 VTAC Guide for all requirements regarding applying.
VCE Units 3 & 4: a study score of at least 30 in English (ESL) or 25 in any other English.
