Teaching and learning

We are a leading provider of quality health science education in Australia. Our teaching is innovative, varied and informed by research. We offer flexible learning options with a strong emphasis on enquiry-based learning.

Our undergraduate and postgraduate training programs develop independence in the workforce and professional practice in interdisciplinary settings. You may complete a Bachelor degree in three years or the professionally-accredited Bachelor/Master degree in four years.

Enquiry-based Learning

We teach all first-year subjects using enquiry-based learning. You are encouraged to ask questions and think holistically. Develop an appreciation of symptoms as varied, complex and involving psychological, sociological and physical issues. Be prepared for the workforce using real-life scenarios and respond to the growing knowledge available to health and welfare practitioners.

Core First year

Most of our undergraduate courses share a core first year that provides the foundation for a health and human services professional. You work with students from different disciplines in inter-professional teams. Develop teamwork skills, share information and understand the role of other caregivers.
