Brief profile

Susan is Course Coordinator, Senior Lecturer and Senior Discipline Mentor for the newly developed Bachelor of Health Science and Master of Paramedic Practice course within the La Trobe Rural Health School. This is an innovative program addressing all aspects of paramedic practice with particular focus on the unique and often challenging nature of rural and regional paramedicine. Susan has current and extensive experience in both paramedic practice and paramedic education in rural and regional Victoria, and maintains the qualification of operational Mobile Intensive Care Ambulance Paramedic.  Research interests focus on improving rural and regional paramedic support and professional development, and investigating the future direction and culture of paramedicine.
