Brief profile

 

Rowan has been involved in many aspect of prosthetics and orthotics for over 25 years. After his initial clinical qualification from Lincoln Institute of Health Sciences (now La Trobe University) in 1983 he completed a research Masters Degree in Human Movement in 1998 and a Masters of Business Administration in 2005. His roles have encompassed the provision of clinical P&O services in Australia and overseas, health service management, strategic management in health and education, provision of education and educational management. He has had a significant impact in the development of the profession and is a past National President of the International Society of Prosthetics and Orthotics, Australia. In his current role as Head of Department, Rowan is leading the development of the NCPO’s research and educational programs for domestic and international students, and graduate clinicians.
