Brief Profile
Leeanne's major research interest is development of approaches to rehabilitation that are founded on theories of neural plasticity and learning and empirically tested for both clinical and neuroanatomical outcomes. The clinical research focuses on the assessment and treatment of somatosensory and motor functions following stroke, and has involved development of novel assessments and science-founded approaches to sensory rehabilitation. More recent interest has included the impact of depression and cognition on recovery and optimal targeting of rehabilitation post-stroke through novel brain imaging and biomarkers.
