Brief Profile

Kate has worked in research, evaluation and policy development in a range of areas including infectious diseases, chronic illness, women’s health, women’s safety, consumer health issues and primary health care since 1985. She has held positions at La Trobe University, the Macfarlane Burnet Centre, Health Issues Centre, the Chronic Illness Alliance, the Department of Human Services and the Department of Victorian Communities. Kate was a member of the small team that established the National Resource Centre for Consumer Participation in Health and has also worked with the Victorian Primary and Community Health Network.
