Brief Profile

Professor Jeni Warburton leads the John Richards Research Initiative into Aged Care in Rural Communities located in the Faculty of Health Sciences, La Trobe University25 May, 2009 in the School of Social Work and Human Services at The University of Queensland. Professor Warburton is a successful supervisor of higher degree students, having supervised nine postgraduate students to completion. She is actively involved in a number of professional committees and organisations. These include as Chair of the Research Advisory Group for Volunteering Australia, and as committee member of the Victorian Australian Association of Gerontology. Professor Warburton is on the editorial boards of two journals, and regularly reviews articles for a broad range of international journals on topics associated with ageing and social policy.
