Brief Profile

Ed commenced as the co-ordinator of the Masters of Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy program in 2010. He has had a teaching role within the Masters of Musculoskeletal/Sports program since 2007.

Since 1999, Ed has taught on aquatic and musculoskelelal physiotherapy courses for the Australian Physiotherapy Association (APA). Through the APA he has been involved with developing the National Spinal 1 courses, as well as co-ordinating Spinal 1 in Victoria.

Ed has a broad range of clinical experience, having worked in rehabilitation centres, acute hospitals and private practice. At The Northern Hospital, he was involved with one of the initial physiotherapy led orthopaedic screening clinics, which resulted in a Medical Journal of Australia publication in 2007.

Outside Latrobe, he currently works as a senior clinician at Northern Health, where he has had many years of experience supervising Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy clinical placements.

He has a particular interest in clinical reasoning, evidence based practice, hip/knee OA and lumbar spine disorders.
