Dianne Williamson is a health information manager who has been involved with teaching and coordination of the Bachelor of Health Information Management at La Trobe University for many years. She currently coordinates the first year of the program and is interested in supporting students to develop independent learning skills. Dianne is also responsible for coordination of the BHIM Professional Studies Program which enables students to develop skills and experience in health care agencies in the first, second and third years of the BHIM course.

Dianne's previous experience includes several years as the Coordinator of the BHIM. She has also acted, on a part-time basis, as Manager of the Quality Division of the National Centre for Classification in Health. Dianne is an active member of the Health Information Management Association of Australia, including many years as a member of the Board and two years as the national President.

As well as a general interest in the field of health information management, Dianne's specific areas of interest include: health information standards, data quality, and user-centred focus on design of health information systems.
