Brief profile

Caroline is a Lecturer in Podiatry at the La Trobe Rural Health School in Bendigo. She has worked as a podiatrist within the public and private sectors of both Australia and the United Kingdom. Her clinical experience has been predominately around vulnerable and special populations with chronic systemic diseases. Her work as a remote and rural outreach podiatrist in North West Queensland has developed her interest for training podiatrist’s to work in regional, rural and remote areas of Australia.  In 2010 she was successful in implementing the Indigenous Diabetic Foot Project in the Lower Gulf of Australia which was subsequently chosen for a poster presentation at the 2011 National Podiatry Conference. Caroline is most interested in systemic conditions and how these influence foot pathology development and alterations in gait. It is anticipated that any further research will be directed towards this area.
