Brief profile

Andrea Bruder has been the clinical coordinator for the Department of Physiotherapy since 2008 and has taught in a number of subjects across various year levels. She was involved in the curriculum development of a second year subject titled "Exercise for Health and Wellbeing" which she now teaches and coordinates. Her interest in exercise for health and wellbeing and its role as a physiotherapy intervention has led her to her current PhD studies in determining the role of exercise in the rehabilitation of patients with distal radius fractures. She was a co-author of a systematic review titled "Therapeutic exercise in physiotherapy practice is beneficial: a summary of systematic reviews 2002-2005' which resulted in a position statement for the Australian Physiotherapy Association.
