Department of Rural Human Biosciences
We have 7 staff at the Bendigo campus and 1 staff member at the Wodonga campus that provide a wide range of teaching and research expertise in subjects such as anatomy, physiology, pathology and neurosciences. We are able to provide teaching into core Human Biosciences subjects in the first year through the use of sessional staff at the Shepparton and Mildura campuses and we then provide extended Human Biosciences teaching at the Bendigo campus using purpose-built laboratories located in the Applied Sciences buildings. We have been very involved in the development of new subjects to support the increasing range of health science courses now available in the La Trobe Rural Health School.
We have a number of research active staff involved in research projects and the supervision of honours and postgraduate students in collaboration with staff at the Bendigo and Bundoora campuses, with external agencies (e.g., Bendigo Health) and with other Universities.
