Department of Occupational Therapy
Occupational therapy looks at occupational needs and the loss of daily living skills that follow physical, emotional, psychological and social disorders. Occupational therapists help individuals make the transition from dependence to independence and maximise personal productivity, wellbeing and quality of life.
The practice aims to:
- Promote occupational health and wellbeing
- Prevent decline of occupational abilities
- Maintain or improve occupational abilities
- Compensate for decreased occupational ability
