Aphasia DVD Collection

Aphasia DVD Collection Collage The Australian Aphasia Association (AAA) Victorian Branch is currently undertaking a project to construct an ‘Aphasia Kit’ to be given to people with aphasia who are about to leave hospital and return to the community. The kit will also be used by significant others and health professionals.

The ‘Aphasia DVD Collection’ was developed as part of the ‘Aphasia Kit’ project and is comprised of five pilot DVDs aimed at providing education and support to people with aphasia, their spouses, children, and friends, as well as health professionals, respectively.

All DVDs are tailored to their specific audience and incorporate specific information about aphasia, strategies for living well with the condition, and personal stories from people with aphasia, their significant others, and experts in the field of aphasia.  The DVDs further act as resources for audiences to obtain further aphasia information and support to improve quality of life.
