The effects of bilingualism on the normal development, assessment and treatment of speech, language and fluency in preschoolers: A literature review
This literature review details the current evidence base for best practice with bilingual preschool-aged children. It outlines the normal speech and language development of children who are regularly exposed to more than one language as compared to monolingual children. Best practice for the assessment and treatment of bilingual children with speech, language and fluency disorders is also examined.
