BEHAVIOURS OF NON-LISTENING

There is a range of behaviours that are associated with non-listening in the classroom.  These behaviours may be evident to teachers in the classroom, however, failure to recognise these behaviours will have implications on the student’s learning and development.

MORE SPECIFIC DISORDERS
The behaviours and strategies listed on the CALM website describe an "average student" who just doesn't seem to listen. It is important firstly to ensure more specific disorders are not the causal factor.
