About the Clinic

The mission of La Trobe Communication Clinic is to:

  • Provide speech pathology services that are informed by client-need and best practice
  • Achieve excellence in clinical education
  • Create research opportunities for Human Communication Sciences students and staff

Qualified speech pathologists, audiologists and supervised undergraduate and postgraduate speech pathology students provide services.

Benefactors/Bequests

The La Trobe Communication Clinic gratefully acknowledges the support of the following organisations:

  • Myer Foundation - $31,512 received for Adolescent Stuttering Program (2005)
  • State Trustees Australia Foundation - $9,398 for transgender voice program (2005)
  • Daniel Scott Trust - $7,248 received for Audiology and fluency diagnostic equipment (2004)
  • Helen Macpherson Smith Trust - $30,000 received for Audiology equipment (2003)
  • The Forest Hill Early Childhood Foundation - $3,164 received for Early Intervention Program at South Morang Pre-School (2003)
  • TRY Youth and Community Services - $4857 received for Moreland Articulation Group (2002)

The La Trobe Communication Clinic also receives ongoing funding for many of its services from the Department of Human Services, Victoria.

The clinic is located on the Bundoora campus of La Trobe University. It is accessible by trains, buses, trams and by car. There are free car parking facilities for clients. The receptionist will arrange parking for you.
