About the School of Human Communication Sciences
The School offers undergraduate and postgraduate education for professional practice in speech pathology. Graduates are competent in the diagnosis, treatment and prevention of communication and swallowing disorders in children and adults.
In addition to our focus on competence for professional practice, the School's education programs have been developed to facilitate graduates' ability to be self-directed learners, effective communicators and productive members of multi-disciplinary teams.
Mission
The mission of the School is to:
- provide high quality, relevant education in human communication and its disorders;
- conduct research of an international standard to improve the communication effectiveness, health and well-being of individuals and communities;
- facilitate the attainment of these educational and research goals through professional activities and community service.
