General information about the Shepparton Campus
The new $9 million Shepparton Campus - 2000 square metre, two storey building, set to become one of the city's signature buildings, opened in December, 2010. The building design has incorporated high efficiency light and water fittings, an active mass cooling system, on-site recycling of rainwater, and the use of renewable materials throughout. Shepparton is serviced by rail and coach services from Melbourne.
Course information

Student services
Assistance is available in areas such as research and study skills, counselling, ESL, disability support, careers advice, financial aid and accommodation. Study skills workshops, a key part of support services at the campus, are conducted throughout the year according to demand. Assistance with reader education and information retrieval skills is provided by the Library. A list of real estate agents and hostel type accommodation is available on the campus website or from the administration office. Support for students of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander background is provided in association with the University’s Equality and Diversity Centre. For more information Tel: 5820 8600.

Academic, cultural and personal support and guidance is available to all Indigenous Australian students, including tutorial support, scholarships, bursaries and referrals. Campus facilities
The new facility features flexible teaching and collaborative learning spaces, a cafe and a nursing laboratory.
Metered parking is available in the immediate vicinity of the Fryers Street Campus and limited free parking can be found adjacent to the campus and unrestricted free parking two blocks away. Local public transport is also available.

Advice on careers is available from the Student Services Office and members of academic staff.

Library
The library is a shared facility of La Trobe University and the Goulburn Ovens Institute of TAFE and provides core materials for all subjects and courses taught at the Shepparton campus. Extra material may be sourced from the larger campuses via inter-campus loan and the library’s growing collection of digital scholarly information resources is available to students at all campuses. Computer workstations are available for assignment preparation, and for accessing material held by the library in electronic format. High-quality photocopying and printing facilities are available in both the library and at the campus. Training and help is available, both in person and online, for individuals and class groups to support research and information skills.
Shepparton Students’ Union
An active students’ union organises a range of social, recreational and educational activities throughout the year.

The programs offered at the campus are controlled by the faculties of the University and are delivered, in most instances, by staff located at the campus. In some cases visiting staff from other campuses deliver lectures, tutorials and other programs for students.
