The Bachelor of Business (Sport Management) is an established degree that combines business foundations with essential sport-specific knowledge and skills. Designed and delivered in collaboration with industry professionals, this degree ensures that you graduate with a broad range of sport management competencies that are recognised within Australia and internationally.
Admission requirements
Prerequisite requirements are VCE Units 3 and 4 and a study score of at least 25 in English (ESL) or 20 in any other English. Applicants with comparable qualifications will be considered. A limited number of students may also be considered under Special Entry Schemes.
Degree requirements
Students must complete a course of subjects accumulating a minimum total of 360 credit points (24 subjects), of which at least 345 must be subjects offered in the Faculty of Business, Economics and Law and at least 120 must be subjects offered at third year level. The course is designed to be completed in three years of full-time study, although part-time study is possible. Part-time study is encouraged for students working more than 15 hours per week.
Students must pass compulsory and prescribed pre-requisite subjects prior to commencing a subject at a higher year level. Variations to this structure are subject to approval by the Faculty of Business, Economics and Law course advisers.
Course structure
This course provides professional education in sport management. The course comprises 18 core subjects and six electives. The following course structure applies to students enrolling from 2013. Students progressing to second and third year must consult the Faculty of Business Economics and Law Student Administration Services for details of their progression requirements. Unless noted, all subjects are worth 15 credit points.

Note: MGT1AIM is a not-for-credit subject which students are required to complete at the commencement of their first semester. This subject is designed to enhance the students' knowledge and awarenesss of issues concerning academic integrity.
